Go Wildcats!!!!

My my My my
Girls Lacrosse Schedule week of 12/16/18
Girls Lacrosse
We have been eager to start winter workouts, but unfortunately weather and the condition of Wray field have prevented this to date.  With some dry weather this week we will have the following schedule:
Tuesday: 4-5:30
Thursday: 4-5:30
Saturday: 9-10:30
VERY IMPORTANT: Your player MUST have a completed/signed waiver form (Pre-Season Waiver Form-Click Here) to be on the field.  You can email it back to me or have your player bring it to me on Tuesday, but if I do not have a waiver in hand the player cannot participate. This is strictly enforced by the WMSABC for the safety of the players and the school so we need to respect their guidelines.
Please have players dressed appropriately based on the weather (it can get much colder during the early evening hours this time of year) and I suggest a light snack they can have at the end of the day.
 The following equipment is mandatory:
  • women's lacrosse stick
  • eye protection
  • mouth guard
  • cleats
  • water bottle

WMS Girls Lacrosse - Updated with Contact Info

Good afternoon, my name is Dann Wall and I am the head coach for the WMS girls lacrosse program.  I wanted to communicate a few important items to any girl interested in playing lacrosse and/or trying out for the WMS team in the spring.

Off-season skills & conditioning:

We will begin off-season workouts after the Thanksgiving holiday.  More information to follow on exact dates and times, but we look to do 2-3 days a week (one being on a Saturday morning).  These workouts are open to any and all WMS girls interested in lacrosse (you do not have to have played before) and will take place at Wray field (behind MS softball field - 1st right off main MS driveway).

Winter Ball lacrosse league:

The other immediate program we encourage the girls to join is "POLAR BEAR" lacrosse run by "Stick with us".  It is a 6 week program starting Dec. 2 and runs for 6 weeks each Sunday.  Please use the link below to register and be sure to designate your player being with Weddington Middle School (so she will play on our team).

Info & Registration:  POLAR BEAR LACROSSE

You can call, text or email at the contact information below; I will begin a contact list of girls/families interested in getting involved now in preparation for spring tryouts.

My best to you & your families for a safe & happy holiday and look forward to seeing the girls on the lacrosse field!

Ever wonder why we have a TEAM TAB vs. FALL, WINTER, SPRING pages?

When the new season starts (i.e. fall) all the information about the sports pre-season practices and tryouts from the coach will be under FALL.

Then, once your child makes a team the information will now switch over to the TEAM page. This will have the team roster, schedule, team mom and any other daily to weekly information that the coach needs to communication to his or her team.

Hope this helps!
